Hello, my name is Larisa and I want to tell you about a trip to Azerbaijan. My family (my husband and two children) visited this country for the first time. Our journey began on New Year's Eve. Magnificent Baku is love at first sight! An extraordinary, sunny, old, fabulous city with an interesting history and hospitable people. Thanks to the extraordinary guide, we touched the history of this city, felt the warmth, kindness and hospitality of Baku people. After spending several days in Baku, we went to an interesting place - the Gobustan reserve. Ancient petroglyphs, mud volcanoes and a modern interactive museum - all these riches are in Gobustan. In the vicinity of Baku there is another attraction - the sanctuary of Zoroastrian fire worshipers - Ateshgah. This is a mysterious place with an ancient history. One of the most amazing natural attractions is Mount Yanardag. This place is a slope of a mountain engulfed in flames that cannot be extinguished. Many legends are associated with this enchanting place. The next day we went to the village of Lahich. This is a small and very picturesque village, paved with stones with neat houses and cozy benches, where you can get acquainted with the skills of local craftsmen, see unique, hand-made copper utensils. And ahead of us was a unique trip to the high-mountain village of Khinalig. On the way to this village, natural beauty replaces each other. A dense, shady forest overhanging an alley above the road, a harsh rocky gorge and suddenly, as if a portal to another world - luscious alpine meadows surrounded by majestic mountains. Among this beauty is the village of Khinalig. Due to their inaccessibility, the locals have preserved their traditions and ancient way of life. Azerbaijan greeted us as long-awaited guests, welcomed us into its warm embrace and made us fall in love for life! Many thanks to our magnificent guides for an unforgettable oriental tale!
